Read below to learn more about our Journeyman and Apprentice Programs.

Narrow Gate Exchange Apprenticeship Program

Who?

The NGE Apprenticeship Program is for young men interested in serving and training others by learning more about saw-milling, woodworking, best business practices, and Christian discipleship.

What?

The NGE Apprenticeship Program is an 8-week training program where each individual gains intense training in all areas of Narrow Gate Exchange Curriculum: sawmilling, woodworking, best business practices, and Christian discipleship.

Why?

This program prepares each participant to fully train others in all aspects of our curriculum. The goal is for each Apprentice to have the skill set to GO and train young men seeking to develop businesses around the world.

Logistics:

– Once they’ve completed their training, Apprentices can participate in short term trips or longer term trips where they help set up or maintain the businesses of our NGE Students
– There are options for living on property at Narrow Gate Exchange during the training. We are located in Williamsport, TN.
– This is an unpaid, volunteer opportunity

Narrow Gate Exchange Journeyman Program

Who?

NGE Journeymen are men that have specialized skills in one or more of the following areas: Saw-milling, Woodworking, Business, and Discipleship Training who have a desire to use those skills to train others who will establish businesses across the world.

What?

NGE Journeymen are men who have become certified by NGE to train NGE students in the US or in their home countries. They are mentors in sawmilling, woodworking, best business practices, and Christian discipleship. They are men willing to raise up and support the next generation of entrepreneurs, wood workers, and Christian leaders. To be certified as an NGE Journeyman, you must attend a 2-3 day training program at Narrow Gate Exchange in order to align your skills with NGE methods to create consistency of training for all NGE Students. Trainings happen on specific weekends throughout the year, or can be personally scheduled through NGE Director Jeremy White.

Why?

As our NGE students return home, there will be opportunities for assistance in establishing their businesses, gaining remedial training, acquiring new skills, or taking refresher courses, and that’s your opportunity to GO and equip and train our students. These opportunities will include trips to international communities to help establish or maintain businesses, as well as opportunities to come to Narrow Gate and lead trainings for NGE Students, Apprentices, etc Trips will be anywhere from for 1-3 weeks or potentially longer.
